About Me

My name is Saygu Sezen, and I am a professional licensed tour guide in Turkey with over 16 years of experience in the field. Throughout my career, I have lived and worked locally in the Mediterranean region of Turkey, Cappadocia, and Istanbul. Since 2018, I have been leading scheduled multi-day tours across Turkey, covering some of the country’s most remarkable destinations, including Gallipoli, Ephesus, Pamukkale, Antalya, Çatalhöyük, Cappadocia, Göbeklitepe, Mount Nemrut, and many other significant historical and cultural sites. I am also the co-founder of Bien Cappadocia Travel and the creator of the daily Göbeklitepe tours from Istanbul — a project that has introduced one of the world’s oldest sacred sites to hundreds of international travelers. Since 2024, I have been focusing on private guiding and personalized travel consulting, helping visitors design meaningful and well-structured journeys throughout Turkey. In addition to my independent work, I collaborate as a contracted tour guide with internationally recognized travel companies such as Intrepid Travel, Bella Turca Travel, Bien Cappadocia Travel, and Seasong Travel. In 2026, I was honored as “Tour Guide of the Year” by Intrepid Travel and invited to attend their Global Summit in Melbourne. I am a relaxed and easygoing person, passionate about introducing travelers to the true essence of my country — not only its historical milestones, but also its cultural layers, demographic realities, political background, and, most importantly, the human stories that bring history to life.
